Doussie (Afzelia) Wooden Floor
Doussie is also known as Afa, Beyo, Lingue, Papayo, Uvala.
Doussie is considered as a large-sized tree. It can reach 30 meters in height and more than a meter in diameter. It lives about 200-300 years.
Doussie Wood is golden brown to reddish brown clolour with bright and slightly intrelocked grain. The sapwood of doussie is yellowish to almost pure white. It is very hard, dense and lasting wood. Resistant to termites, attrition, strokes, contraction, moisture and rot. Because its high hardness and strenght, it is among the most valuable imported wood species.
